Center for Perinatal and Pediatric Care

“Every baby is born, grows, and may one day nurture the next generation.”

Established in October 2013, the Keio University Hospital Center for Perinatal and Pediatric Care supports this precious cycle of life through safe pregnancy and childbirth care, and by promoting children’s healthy growth and development. Our center provides seamless, multidisciplinary care in close collaboration among obstetrics, pediatrics, pediatric surgery, and other specialized departments. Since 2018, the maternity ward, NICU, PICU, and pediatric ward have been located together on one floor, further strengthening our integrated care system. We are committed to compassionate, attentive care that brings smiles to children and families.

About the Logo

This logo was selected from submissions by students in the Department of Design for Medical and Health Care at Kawasaki University of Medical Welfare.
It symbolizes the Center’s mission to support families from preconception through childbirth and the growth of children. Representing the continuity of life, the design illustrates the collaboration of multiple departments—such as obstetrics, pediatrics, and pediatric surgery—and various healthcare professionals working together as a unified team to care for both parents and children.

With gentle colors and forms, the logo conveys a sense of safety, warmth, and reassurance. It embodies our hopes for nurturing the future and the spirit of teamwork. At the same time, it reflects a vision for a sustainable society in an era of declining birthrates, along with Keio University’s values of flexibility and a forward-looking spirit of challenge.
